Siniora meets Mubarak, calls Syria to support Lebanon's stability

The Lebanese prime minister Fouad Siniora currently visiting Egypt said that his country does not interfere in the affairs of the UN investigation committee and believes in its independence.
Siniora held talks with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that centered on "developments of the Syrian- Lebanese file and results of the contacts carried out by Egypt and Saudi Arabia to this effect."
He stressed following these talks that purifying the atmospheres between Lebanon and Syria requires solving certain issued pending between the two states.
Siniora called on Damascus to "stop its support for the Palestinian men outside the camps, as a strong message that Syria supports stability in Lebanon."
Siniora's visit to Egypt comes on the background of the mediation carried out by Egypt and Saudi Arabia to deal with tensions in the Lebanese-Syrian relations after following accusations of Syria's involvement in the assassination of Rafiq al-Hariri.
