Assafir: Syria's Ghazali in Vienna for Hariri investigation
Syria-Lebanon-UN, Politics, 1/12/2006

The Lebanese daily Assafir said in its today's issue that the former chairman of the security department of the Syrian forces in Lebanon, Maj. Gen. Rustoum Ghazali, will once again be brought today to Vienna before UN investigation into the murder of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri.

Arab diplomatic sources told Assafir that the UN investigation committee will question in Vienna each of Ghazali and the former Syrian security official in Mount Lebanon, Samih al-Qash'ami

While no Syrian official sources confirmed this news or deny it, one Syrian official told Assafir "we hope the former chief of the UN committee Detleve Mehlis will not transfer his biased agenda against Syria to his successor the Belgian Serg Bramirtiz, rather to start from general rules, that do not have prior assumptions.
