6 million homes in Egypt to have natural gas in 6 years

"It was decided to launch an immediate plan to accelerate installing natural gas to 6 million houses all over the country within a time span of 6 years. According to the plan, one million houses will have access to natural has yearly replacing a previously targeted plan that would have taken 15 years to be implemented. The program will cost LE 30 billion," Egypt said.
"Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmy said that the Cabinet decided that gas pipes and installations are prerequisite for obtaining building permissions in the cities where natural gas is already available," the government noted.
