Syrian ambassador to speak at Utah Valley State College

Imad Moustapha, Syria's deputy ambassador to the United States, will discuss the challenges in his Arab country, during a speech on Thursday at Utah Valley State College in Orem.
The event is open to the public. The lecture is an opportunity for students and the public to broaden their perspectives on world affairs, UVSC international affairs coordinator Maryna Storrs said Friday. People are interested in Syria and its relationship with the United, according to the The Salt Lake Tribune. Before becoming the Syrian ambassador, Moustapha was on the faculty at the University of Damascus. He held several posts in the university's science and technology department, the paper added.
