Sharon's doctors to wake him from coma today

Doctors of the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said they will start as from today to wake him up from his coma since his brain stroke and hemorrhaging.

Professor Sholomo Moore Youssef from Hadasa hospital said on Sunday that the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon will be taken out of his coma and this will be test Sharon's nerves system functions.

This decision came after doctors consultations on Sharon's health conditions to assess the state of damage inflicted on him as a result of the coma and the the surgical operations made to him to stop this brain bleeding.

The doctors said that the situation of the Israeli prime minister is still critical though he shows continued improvement, noting in particular that there are is not swelling in the brain and that the hemorrhaging has stopped.

Meantime, the administration of Hadasa hospital said that it is "likely expected that Sharon will not be able to continue his mission as a prime minister." This statement was reinforced by one of Sharon's surgery doctors in statements made on Sunday to Jerusalem Post which said that "Sharon will not be able to return back to practice his work."

The paper quoted doctor Jose Cohen as saying that Sharon will not be able to continue in his post as a prime minister, but he might be able to keep his mental functions and to talk.
