Reciprocated Iraqi accusations over deteriorated security conditions
Iraq, Politics, 1/7/2006

The Iraqi National Dialogue Council on Friday held the Iraqi government, whose term of office expired, chaired by Ibrahim al-Jaafari, the responsibility for the deteriorated security conditions in the country.

Chairman of the council Khalaf al-Alyan said in a press conference in Baghdad that the "escalation of terrorism is because of what is carried out by the government forces and its militias of acts of killing and destruction of many innocents who contributed to monitoring the elections " as well as the "evacuation of hundreds of families" from certain areas in al-Anbar governorate.

Earlier, the National Iraqi List which is led by the former prime minister Eyad Allawi held the Jaafari government responsible for the increased violence and considered it is a "main factor in weakening national unity, because it had practiced the policy of revenge" and accused it of weakening the state security establishments and politicizing and strengthening the militias.

The Chairman Of The Higher Council For The Islamic Revolution in Iraq, Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, held the coalition forces and local political sources, he did specifically name, as responsibility for what he called "the dirty sectarian crimes which targeted the Shiite in particular."
