Syria condemns terrorist escalation in Iraq

Syria roundly condemned Thursday the recent terrorist escalation in Iraq. "Syrian Arab Republic has received, with a great pain, news of yesterday and today terrorist escalation that a large number of innocent people in brotherly Iraq are paying its heavy price " an official source at the Foreign Ministry said.

" Condemning vehemently such terrorist acts, Syria calls Iraqis to adhere to their national unity that is the base of their life and building their future as well as it poses the well-fortified fortress in the face of the blind terrorism," the official added.

Syria is looking forward to the day in which brotherly Iraq will restore its security, stability and full sovereignty" The source asserted.

The source also expressed Syria's "heart-felt condolences to the victims families and best wishes of a quick recovery to the wounded."
