The chairman of the Higher Council Of The Islamic Revolution In Iraq, Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, held the coalition forces and local political sides, he did not identified by name, as being responsible for what he described the "dirty sectarian crimes which targeted the Shiite in particular."
He found in them the result of what he called the pressures made by the coalition forces against the ministries of defense and interior to prevent them from carrying out their role in chasing what he described as terrorism.
In the same context, member of the Shiite Higher Council, Jawad al-Taqi, described these attacks as a war against the Shiite about whom he said that are "actually scared because those (the other sides) want to ignite a civil war in Iraq."
The Muslim Brothers Commission, the highest Sunni religious reference, denounced the attacks which targeting Shiite individuals and called on the Iraqis to be cautious and careful towards these crimes and to stand together against criminals." The Iraqi Islamic Party also deplored these crimes and described them as "criminal operations."
The increase in the pace of violence in Iraq this week comes almost four days before the announcement of the final results of the voting operations which was held on December 15, 1005. The certified results are expected to be issued after two weeks, according to member of the commission council Abdul Hussein Hindawai.
