Revision of results of Iraqi election started

The Higher Independent Commission For The Iraqi Elections said that the UN team started reviewing the results of the legislative elections which took place on December 15.
Member of the commission Abdul Hussein al-Hindawi said that two members of the five- member team have so far arrived, noting that the team has a special work program and will work with complete independence.
Al-Hindawi stressed that the commission completed revision of some 2000 complaints and its results will be announced today. But the other member in the commission Safwat Rashid stressed that the final results of the elections will not be announced before the completion of the UN team work within two weeks.
For his part, member of the commission Adel al-Lami said that the commission will abrogate only between 50-70 ballot centers out of 31,000 in all parts of Iraq because of violations, noting that the total results of the elections will not be affected by any cancelation.
