Iran to restart halted nuclear research
Iran, Politics, 1/3/2006
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi today said Iran is resuming nuclear research it had previously halted voluntarily, and that an announcement about this is forthcoming, the official news agency reported.
Concerning the threats by Israel against Iran, IRNA quoted him saying that this is psychological warfare and said that the Israeli officials themselves are fully aware that they are enclosed in a glass house and "one who lives in a glass house should not throw stones at others."
Asked if the Iran-Russia talks are the reasons for mounting threats against Iran, that is, if they are being coordinated to coincide with the Russian talks, Asefi said "Our negotiations with Russia mainly aim to secure our inalienable rights, not to seek privileges or bargain." In this regard, Iran said that it will not except any restrictions on enriching uranium on its soil, and also welcomes others who want to sell Iran additional enriched Uranium supplies, without effecting the Iranian internal enrichment efforts and development.
