Egypt's new government formed

A new 30-minister government under Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif will be sworn in today, and includes 8 new faces. 12 ministers were excluded from the outgoing government.

President Hosni Mubarak will be meeting with the ministers to review the implementation of promises he made during his recent election.

The new ministers are:
- Minister of Defense: Mohamed Sayed Tantawi
- Minister of Culture: Farouq Hosni
- Minister of Finance: Dr. Boutros Ghali
- Minister of Awkafs (Endowment): Mahmoud Hamdy Zaqzouq
- Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation: Mohamed Abu Zeid
- Minister of Interior: Habib Al Adli
- Minister of State for Military Production: Sayed Mashaal
- Minister of Petroleum: Sameh Fahmy
- Minister of Power and Energy: Hassan Younis
- Minister of International Cooperation: Fayza Abul Naga
- Minister of Planning and Local Development: Othman Mohamed

- Minister of Civil Aviation: Ahmed Shafiq
- Minister of Justice: Mahmoud Abul Leil
- Foreign Minister: Ahmed Abul-Gheit
- Minister of State for Environmental Affairs: Maged George
