Results of Iraqi elections to be canceled in certain areas

The higher commission for the elections in Iraq decided to cancel certain election circles if it is proved that there is a cheating in various parts of the country.
Chairman of the commission Hussein al-Hindawi said that his commission will announce in the few coming days decisions to cancel the elections in Baghdad- al-Rasafah, Baghdad all-Karakh, Irbil, Ninwa, Karkouk, Deyali and al-Anbar.
He indicated that the commission still investigates the fate of the results of the elections in each of Basra, Babel in order to declare final results.
Al-Hindawi defended the elections commission, noting that it was subjected to unfair insults from certain sides. He disclosed threatening attempts of revenge against certain members of the commission and vowed to take legal measures against persons who launch accusations against the commission and its members.
Baghdad and other Iraqi cities are witnessing almost daily demonstrations in support of opposition sides for the results of the elections which they said contained fraud, and that opponents used illegal acts and tactics during the election.
