Syrian National Progressive Front views on internal issues

The 5th regular meeting of the leaderships of the National progressive Front in the Provinces and the political leaderships of the Front political parties was opened Tuesday morning at Sahara Compound.
Representative of President Assad and Deputy Chairman of the front Suleiman Qaddah delivered a speech in which he called on the participants to "come up with best results to enhance the process of national work, boost the role of the Front in the field of building and steadfastness and strengthen the national unity and political multiparty system and democratic life in Syria."
Qaddah expressed hope that hard and serious work would be exerted to modernize and advance the performance of the Front and enhance cohesion among its parties for the best benefit of the nation in challenging the dangers and challenges, particularly at this stage.
He pointed out to "the honest efforts for a strong and active Front capable of boosting the national unity and consolidate the culture of public participation of everybody for the interest of the country. we are looking for more democratic practices and widening the scope of public participation in the framework of national responsibility and national unity, for continuous revision and reforms in all fields to raise living standards and the rule of law," he added.
Qaddah pointed out that Israel is behind what is going on in the region where Syria is exposed to unprecedented campaign of pressures, accusations and threats to force it abandon its national and pan-Arab stances and legitimate rights.
He added that Syria "rejects the occupation, hegemony and the colonial project which will not only negatively reflect on Syria but also on all Arabs, the region and the world to incite instability, chaos and division."
The Deputy Chairman of the National Progressive Front pointed out to the approach of logic and dialogue adopted by Syria in its dealing with all the issues based on its keen on the interests of our people and respect of the international resolutions and cooperation with the international community.
He said that Syria continues to cooperate with the international investigation into the assassination of former Lebanese Premier Rafiq Hariri, reiterating Syria's call that that the work of the committee should be professional, honest and unbiased to uncover the truth behind the crime.
He expressed hope that the truth would be reached and the criminals would be revealed, thereby reassuring Syria's innocence and disclosing the dimensions of the conspiracy that "targets Syria on the basis of exploiting the crime as a prelude to the American Zionist scheme in the region."
Qaddah asserted that "our people stand united behind the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad in defense of Syria in the face of pressures and the unjust campaign it is exposed to."
Secretary General of the Syrian National Social Party, Issam Mahayri, delivered a speech on behalf of the parties of the Front in which he said that "the unity is the greatest virtue in the principles of the nation as it empower the national dignity and pan-Arab pride its real content."
He added that the conspiracies against Syria will only strengthen the country more and more.
Mahayri said that rallying our masses is the responsibility of the Front parties at this stage to make public participation as wide as possible, adding that this should urge these parties to further interact actively with the people and with each other.
