Many booby trapped cars in Baghdad

Five persons were killed in Baghdad including three police men while other 17 were injured in the blowing up of 6 booby trapped cars.
Police sources said that the booby trapped cars blew up in al-Karradah and al-Habiba and near al-Shaab playground, while eye witnesses in Baghdad reported that gunmen killed the university teacher at the fine arts faculty Nawfal Ahmad near his house in Toubaji quarters north of the capital.
One booby trapped bike went off targeting a funeral procession in al-Shula quarters which is inhabited by the Sunni majority, and this resulted in killing at least three persons while other 23 were injured.
The police on Monday found the body of one policeman behind the sport industrial club stadium in the center of Baghdad who was killed by bullets, while unidentified men killed in al-Najaf city Fattah al-Zabhawi, a clergyman and member in the higher council of the Islamic Revolution which is led by Abdul Aziz al-Hakim.
The governor of Deyali, Raad Rashid al-Mulla Jawad, survived an explosion of a booby trapped car when his procession was running in Baqouba northeast of Baghdad, and this resulted in the killing of his guard while two other were injured, while one woman member in the governorate council and three of her guards were killed in another attack west of the city.
In Falluja, one suicide bomber was killed while trying to detonate himself outside a center for training policemen. In Karkouk north Baghdad, one Iraqi civilian was killed and two other injured when unidentified men targeted by missile shelling a fuel station on the outskirts of the city.
The police said in Alexandria area south of Baghdad it found two unidentified bodies, seemed to be fired by bullets, near the strategic oil pipeline in al-Lteifeh area.
On the other hand, the American army announced on Monday the killing of three of its soldiers in two separate statements. One of them said that one soldier was killed on Monday by a missile shelling targeting his vehicle in Baghdad while the other two soldiers were killed on Christmas day in two separate attacks in Baghdad.
