King Abdullah to Saudi women: be patient, patient and patient

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah on Saturday addressed Saudi women who were taking part in the fifth session of the national dialogue conference by saying "I wish you success and ask you to be patient, patient and patient," appealing them "of asking for what is possible," stressing that national dialogue is continuous.

The Saudi King said in a statement to the participants in the conference "I am one of you and one of your brothers, and consider that the first issue to start with is your religion and then homeland," noting "in the past, there was violence and hardening among its members. However, dialogue came and entered every house and each family."

Some 74 Saudi men and women met in the Saudi Abha city to take part in the fifth meeting for the intellectual dialogue under the auspices of "King Abdul Aziz Center" under the slogan "we, and the other.. a common national visit to deal with world culture." The meeting aims at encouraging the exchange of views in the Kingdom. Such meetings started since 2003 amid the criticism addressed to the Kingdom following the incident of September 11.
