Syria and Indonesia to boost cooperation in oil field

Syria and Indonesia discussed here Sunday prospects of bolstering trade and economic cooperation particularly in fields of oil, gas and mine treasures.
Syrian Oil Ministrys main goal is to increase oil and gas production in Syria through exploration of new oil fields and developing the existing ones, Syria's Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Ibrahim Haddad, said during his meeting with Chairman of Association of the Scientists Rise in Indonesia Ahmad Hashem Muzadi.
There are many local companies jointly working with foreign ones in Syria to explore and produce oil, Haddad said, welcoming any offer by Indonesian companies regarding the opened offers that the ministry announces for exploration and development.
Syria has always been working to develop and modernize laws and legislations regulating investment process in a way that escorts the international developments in this regard. Haddad said, indicating that Indonesia posses wide expertise in oil industries domain, a matter that qualifies it to work inside and outside Indonesia.
