Syria denies secret contacts with Israel

Syria has strongly denied what some mass media have reported on secret contacts between Syria and Israel, saying these efforts are aimed to undermine its determine stand in the face of pressure it is facing.
"Syria has nothing to conceal and she rejects all kinds of secret contacts," informational source said Thursday, adding "Syria has always been working openly and under the lights."
"Such Israeli statements are repeated from time to time to attain media goals, mislead the world public opinion, and make it believe that Syria has become weak due to the big pressures it is exposed to," the source noted.
The source touched upon the efforts that Syria has been exerting to achieve the "just and comprehensive peace in the region which is the real peace that ends the occupation in accordance with the Arab peace initiative and the international legitimacy resolutions as well ensures requirements of security and stability in the region."
