Fayez al-Sayegh appointed director general for TV and radio

The Syrian prime minister Naji Otari appointed Fayez Sayyegh to the post of the director general of the TV and radio station in succession of Maan Haidar, the very post Sayegh had between 2000- 2003, according to the Syrian dailies published on Wednesday.
Al-Sayegh was the chief editor of the Syrian daily al-Thawra (revolution). he also served as the director of the Syrian officials news agency SANA for ten years 1991- 2000.
