Preliminary results of the Egyptian parliamentary elections

The Muslim Brothers reiterated their positions in the new Egyptian parliament, al-Jazeera satelitte TV said that 11 candidates of the Muslim Brothers won officially in the repletion session of the last round of the elections while nine of them failed. Still 12 others are competing on the circles were the vote selection process continues.
Al-Jazeera indicated that preliminary results shows that 30 candidates for the ruling National Democratic Party had won besides other 30 independents, adding that this round also witness the failure of certain symbols of the ruling party including the peasants secretary in the party.
The failure of the following figures was announced: the chairman of the Bar Association in Egypt, Subhi Asdhour, Zia Eddin Daoud who is the chairman of the Naserite democratic Arab party. The latter lost to the candidate of the ruling democratic national party in the second seat for Farscore circle.
The Muslim Brothers occupied 76 seats out of the 454 seats of the parliament in the first and second phases of the elections and expected to get in the third and last phase between 15 and 20 seats.
The ruling party and the independents who rallied with them got 222 seats in the two past rounds of the elections. The national party is participating in the last phase of the election in 100 seats while there are 120 independents with the winners among them expected to join the ruling party later.
Worthy mentioning that the ruling party controls 398 seats in the parliament whose term of office has expired while the Muslim Brothers occupy 15 seats, the independents 23 seats and other opposition parties 16 seats.
