Six Egyptian electoral circles elections suspended

The Egyptian elections higher committee decided to adjourn the elections, in 6 electoral circles represented by 12 parliamentarians, in implementation of judicial rules. A new date for carrying out the elections was not specified.
Thereby, the runoff round is carried out in the presence of 32 candidates for the Muslim Brothers and 92 for the ruling national party and two for the opposition al-Wafd party and other two for al-Karamah, an under establishment party, one candidate for the opposition Naserite party and 120 independent candidate. The winners among these independents are expected to join the ruling party, later.
This round of elections is carried out in nine governorates which are al-Sharqeyah, al-Daqihleyah, Kafer al-Sheikh, Dumiat, Suhaj, Aswan, the Red Sea, Southern Sinai and North of Sinai.
The two former phases of the elections witnessed the winning of the Muslim Brothers in 76 seats of the parliament's 454 seats. The Muslim Bothers group confirms that the gains it achieved had provoked a government campaign against it.
