Zaqzouq: Islam innocent of backwardness of Muslims

Egypt's Minster of Awkaf Hamdy Zaqzouq said that Islam has nothing to do with the "backwardness in the Muslim world", Muslims can not restore their noble status unless they resort to the sublime values of Islam.
He said this during a meeting with Abdul-Hamid Othman an adviser to the Malaysian prime minister and former minister of religious affairs, a government report noted.
