MP Khrais underlines strong relations between Syria and Lebanon

Lebanese Deputy Ali Khrais has underlined the distinguished and strong relations between Syria and Lebanon. In a statement to reporters on Friday, Khrais said it was very natural that the relations between Syria and Lebanon to be strong and good because Lebanon is in need of Syria and its Arab environment.

He stressed commitment to the national and pan-Arab firm principles and to the preservation of the resistance and its arms for the liberation of the remaining part of the occupied Lebanese territories, and for the release of the Lebanese detainees in the Israeli prisons.

He called on the international community and the United Nations to put pressure on Israel to stop its daily attacks against Lebanon. He pointed out that main violation is represented by hindering the course of the Lebanese investigation through the demand of handing the whole file of the investigation to the investigation commission which was also allowed to withhold evidence from the Lebanese Judicial authorities.

Furthermore, former Lebanese Minister, Suleiman Franjieh has stressed the necessity for conducting a transparent, just and fair investigation for reaching the truth behind the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafiq al-Hariri.

In a statement to reporters he described the current investigation as very far from objectivity and serves the American interests and harms the interests of Lebanon and Syria.

He also criticized those who are rushing to disarm the Lebanese resistance in order to offer Israel a service.
