On the results of the Egyptian elections

Concerning the results of the Egyptian parliamentary elections, news reports in Cairo said that six members of the candidates of the Muslim Brothers are achieving progress in this round, noting that 25 of the candidates of the movement and 3 Naserites and three of al-Wafd party will join the runoff round which will be next Wednesday.
The Muslim Brothers web site said that 19 candidates of the movement will be in the runoff round, noting that "most of the centers will have runoffs."
In this phase, some 1746 candidates are competing in 68 circles in order to win 136 seats representing one quarter of the Egyptian parliament. Some 136 candidates are taking part in the name of the ruling party against 49 candidates for the Muslim Brothers and 225 for the opposition and 1500 independents
The Muslim Brothers achieved a historic victory during the first and second phases of the elections by winning 76 seats, which represents one quarters of the parliament seats while the ruling party has so far only got 214 seats and the opposition only won 10.
