Syrian business council in Abu Dhabi starts

Activities Syria's Ambassador to United Arab Emirates, Riad Naasan Agha, has described the establishment of the Syrian Business Council (SBC) in Abu Dhabi as an important step on the way of joint economic cooperation between Syria and the UAE in the interest of both states.

In a press conference on Monday held at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Naasan Agha pointed out to the series of new laws enacted by the Syrian government during the last five years in order to eliminate all the obstacles to investment in Syria.

He stressed that the SBC aims at developing and enhancing economic, trade and investment relations between the two states.

For his part, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Omar Abdullah said that the establishment of the SBC comes in the framework of enhancing economic and trade cooperation between businessmen and companies in the two states.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the SBC Qasem al-Awan said his group aims at developing economic relations between the two states, asserting that it is scheduled to establish a Syrian-UAE holding company to carry out trade and business .
