Lebanese authorities admit hand over of masked witness

General Directorate of Lebanese Security Forces on Wednesday admitted that it handed over the so-called "masked witness", Hussam Taher Hussam, to the UN investigation committee into the assassination of Lebanese former Premier Rafiq al-Hariri. Hussam has just recanted his testimony about the assassination.
The Directorate underlined in a statement that it helped Hussam get to the Committee to make his testimony, adding that it offered him full protection to make him feel secure.
