Saudi women are candidate and voters in Jeddah Chamber of commerce elections
Saudi businesswoman took part on Saturday for the first open elections for the board of the chamber of commerce and industry in Jeddah, in which 71 candidates including 17 women are competing for 12 seats, while the Saudi authorities will appoint other 6 members in the council.

Egyptian judges may be punished for speaking on election process
The higher judicial council of the Egyptian government asked the Egyptian attorney general Maher Abdul Wahid to open immediate investigation into judges who are talking in the mass media about violations that took place in the legislative elections, and accused them of "practicing politics" and thereby violating the law.

Two American congressmen injured in Iraq
One American military car carrying three members of the US congress had a collision while running in one of the Iraqi capital streets on Saturday evening. Two congressmen were taken to an American base in Germany for medical exam, according to American sources.

Four westerners kidnapped in Iraq
A relief agency working in Iraq had confirmed the kidnapping of four of its western employees, two of them believed to be from Canada, one from Britain and the 4th is American, adding that the four were kidnapped in an area west of Baghdad on Saturday.

Killing and explosions operations continued in various parts in Iraq, the last of which was the killing of two civilians and injuring others, including one policeman in a booby trapped car in al-Rabee street west of Baghdad targeting an American- Iraqi joint vehicle. Three civilian cars and another for the police were damaged in addition to adjoining trade centers.
