Arab Officers to Boycott Israel Reject Pressures on Syria

Arab Officers for the Boycott of Israel strongly denounced on Thursday continuous pressures against Syria as well "biased media campaigns aimed to get at her steadfastness and target her national and pan-Arab stances."

In a statement at the end of their four-day conference, they demonstrated their full solidarity with Syria to face the "colonial schemes contrived against her that serve interests of some foreign countries and the Zionist entity." "The current difficult situation Syria is undergoing requires supporting and standing by her. We are sure she will overcome these circumstances due to her cultural and civilized historical background," they said in their final statement Quoted by al-Thawra newspaper.

The meeting deliberated subjects related to boycotting companies of various nationalities and lifting embargo on some due that have given commitment to abide by the Arab boycott of Israel.

The meeting discussed the issue of some Israeli commodities infiltrating into some Arab states, and the need to make sure of the accuracy of the information and to relay it to specialized authorities.

It was the 75th meeting of the boycott of Israel for officers at Arab regional offices. Syria hosts the Central Office for the boycott of Israel.
