"Syria, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, still stands by her brothers in Palestine, Sudan, Lebanon and Iraq as well as supports the Iraqi people to end occupation and get back security and stability in the country," Al-Ahmar told the 2nd Conference of the Sudanese National Conference Organization in the presence of the Sudanese President Omar Hasan al-Bashir.

He also stressed that Syria will remain with the Palestinian people to regain their rights and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as capital.

Al-Ahmar, who delivered the speech on behalf of the Arab participating parties, said that Sudan who overcame the civil war enters now a new stage that aim at boosting its unity and stability.

Later, on the sidelines of the Conference, al-Ahmar conferred with a delegation of the Ruling National Party in Niger on Syria's stances regarding the situation in the region. During the meeting, Niger's Ruling Party stressed support to Syria in the face of pressure she is exposed to, expressing desire to establish relations between the two parties which contribute to boosting relations between the two countries.

Al-Ahmar, in a similar meeting, met the Secretary General of Sudanese National Conference Organization Ibrahim Ahmad Omar and conferred with him on bilateral relations between the two parties and the latest situation in the region.
