Shalom warns against current situation in Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 11/24/2005

With the tension prevailing in south Lebanon, the Israeli foreign minister Silvan Shalom said that the current situation in Lebanon cannot be continued, noting that no one can dare to strip Hizbullah party of its weapons and to deploy the Lebanese army near the border with his country.

Shalom warned that his country will respond in an appropriate way at the appropriate place, expressing his regret that the Hizbullah party is "actually represented in the parliament and in the government without having its weapons dismantled."

The Israeli radio said that the Israeli minister will try to convince the European Union to enroll Hizbullah on the black list of what is called terrorist organizations during the Euro-Mediterranean summit to be held on November 27th in Barcelona.
