Egyptian movie wins international prize

The Egyptian government reported that the children's movie "Thawrat Al-Asa", produced by UNICEF and directed by British director Oliver Welknz in cooperation with the Egyptian Family Channel, won an International Emmy Award.
The report said: It has also been nominated as best film both inside and outside the US.
Movie-sponsor Rawya Rashid has also been honored at the ceremony by the International Academy for Arts and Sciences in New York City. UNICEF recommended "Thawrat Al-Asa" to represent the Middle East in the International Day for Children competing with China, Brazil, Bangladesh, Denmark, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan and Egypt.
US Senator Hilary Clinton was among the attendants as was Operah Winfry who was also honored.
