New Jordanian law for fighting terrorism

Statements made by Jordan's minister of interior Aouni Yarfas said that his country is preparing to present a new law to fight what is called terrorism.

Yarfas said that the new law "will be inspired from the British law and from laws enacted in Arab countries," noting that a committee was assigned to draw the new law.

Earlier the Jordanian minister announced certain new measures to prevent the occurrence of new explosions, including demanding all Jordanian who rent real estate to foreigners, to register the names of those renters with the authorities within 48 hours.
