On the withdrawal from Iraq

Opinion poll showed that two thirds of the Japanese oppose the extension of the presence of the Japanese forces in Iraq after the end of its set mission due to end in December.
In Britain, the prime minister Tony Blair stressed that the withdrawal of the British forces from Iraq might start by the beginning of next year under the pretext that the Iraqi forces will be able to ensure security.
