Lahoud meets with UN investigators
Lebanon-UN, Politics, 11/12/2005
A Lebanese official source denied that the Lebanese President Emi Lahoud was subjected to interrogation in the international investigation of the murder of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri.
The advisor at the Lebanese Presidency Rafik Shalala said in press statements that Lahoud was not interrogated, neither talked in his capacity as a witness, rather provided the investigation committee with information in his capacity as a president of the republic.
A statement by the Lebanese presidency said that the information Lahoud gave for two members of the committee during meeting with them on Friday afternoon, came to clarify facts on the reality of what was rumored on the telephone calls made with the Lebanese presidential palace before the implementation of the assassination operation.
