al-Qaida claims responsibility for Amman explosions
Jordan-Iraq, Politics, 11/11/2005
The al-Qaida organization in Iraq led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi justified its execution of Amman's explosions because Jordan has been converted into a launching pad for the "war against Islam."
A statement by the organization on the Internet said that the organization targeted the three hotels in Amman because they have become the best place for the spies, especially the Americans and the Israelis and certain western European states" are hidding to fight what is called the war against terrorism."
The statement added that the Jordanian, Egyptian, and Palestinian intelligence are taking part in these activities to attack the Mujahidin in Palestine, Mesopotamia (Iraq) and the Arab Peninsula."
The statement said that the Jordanian hotels "were converted into secure back headquarters for these meetings, and housing of officials of the Interim Iraqi government and their guests, after the Mujahidin converted Baghdad into a fire burning them, even in their Green Zone (which has become unsafe for them)."
