Confab on two great ladies of Islam, Christianity

For the first time in the world, in a conference to be held in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Monday, the world two ladies, the daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Hazrat-e Fatemeh (SA) and the mother of Jesus Christ, Mary, will be discussed from the outlook of Islam and Christianity respectively.

Iran's cultural attache to Vienna Mohammad-Reza Nezamdoust told IRNA on Friday that the conference will be held at Austria's Islamic Culture and Education Center.

IRNA reported: He noted that the conference has been arranged jointly by the Iranian Cultural Attache Office and Austrian Islamic Culture and Education Center.

"The event will be attended by a number of Muslim and Christian intellectuals, university instructors and educational elites scheduled to give lectures as well as hundreds of interested individuals," added Nezamdoust.

The seminar, commemorating Mary's demise anniversary, will open by the short lecture of the head of Vienna's Culture and Islamic Education Center, which will be followed by Nezamdoust's speech.

"Head of the Institute of Applied Theology and Religious Psychology of the College of Protestant Theology of the University of Vienna is scheduled to deliver a speech on the two esteemed ladies.

"Besides, another lecture will be given by a member of the scientific and research faculty of the Qom Seminary and member of Women's Cultural-Social Council."

The Iranian diplomat stressed the need for continued dialogue between Islam and Christianity as one of the goals of the conference.
