Baqradouni's statement on development

Head of the Phalanges (Kataeb ) in Lebanon Karim Baqradouni voiced worry over turning the UN Security Council into authority that adopts the logic of economic sanctions and military solutions to solve disputes in the Middle East instead of finding peaceful compromises.
"We are worried and fearful over any decision in the UN Security Council against Syria regarding the assassination of al-Hariri," he said in a meeting of his party he chaired overnight. Baqradouni warned that any sanctions might be imposed on Syria will have negative reflections on the region and will threaten the stability in the Middle East.
