American forces release 500 prisoners from Abu Ghreib prison

The American forces on Tuesday released 500 Iraqi detainees from Abu Ghreib jail in what was described by a statement by the army as a good will gesture on the occasion of the fall of Eid al-Fiter holiday.
The release was made according to a decision of an Iraqi committee that discussed the situations of those detainees who decided they did not commit grave or violent crimes. The statement added that the released men vowed to give up violence. The Iraqi ministry of interior also announced the release of other 175 prisoners detained by the Iraqi forces.
On the other hand, the interim Iraqi government allotted a financial reward for information about one Moroccan citizen called Mohsin Kheibar on charge of being involved in September explosions in Iraq in which 100 Iraqis were killed.
The minister of defense in the interim Iraqi government Sadou al-Dulemi said that the terrorism fighting law which was approved by the Iraqi parliament will be announced within the two next days. He added it will state tough measures against those who prove to be involved in acts he described as terror in executing, providing sheltering or supplying.
Al-Duleimi warned the Syrian government over what he called the interference in Iraq's affairs, stressing that Iraq will not be converted into a second Lebanon, as he alleged.
The governor of al-Basra Muhammad Musbah al-Waeli announced the detention of two persons under the charge of involving in blowing up a booby trapped car on Monday evening and this resulted in killing 20 persons.
One officials at the ministry of interior stressed that detention of one Iraqi called Jasem al-Thour and other 13 persons on charge of attacking two hotels in the center of Baghdad in October and this resulted in killing and wounding cores.
A statement by al-Qaida organization in Iraq said on the Internet that it brought two of the workers for the Moroccan embassy it kidnapped in October to the legislative commission of the organization for trial. The statement showed two passports and ID cards of driver Abdul Rahim Bu'alam and Abdul Karim al-Muhafizi who were kidnapped while they were on their way from Jordan to Baghdad.
