Syrian, Arab and foreign condemnation on Mehlis report

Syrian, Arab and foreign condemnation against the report of UN Investigating Committee on the assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri mounted on Friday.
In Berlin, Syrian students studying in Germany criticized the report saying it aimed at escalating pressures on Syria.
In a statement, Syrian students noted the report was full of mistakes and did not fulfill the minimum conditions to become a document that would allow it to be accepted as a lawsuit before a German court since it does not meet judicial standards.
"We are confident of the need to continue the investigation as to reach to truth and we join our voice to the Syrian leadership and her proud people to stand by all stances defending Syria and seeking the truth," the statement said.
In Budapest, the Syrian community rejected the report pointing out that it was politicized and affected by the Lebanese mass media.
"The report is free of any defined information but rather it depends on speculations to serve Western great powers, and Israel, so as to get at Syria and her positions and firm principles over the just Arab causes," the community said in a statement.
Arab dailies in each of Jordan and Qatar have denounced the report where a Jordanian paper condemned pressure and US accusations to Syria considering the principled stances of Syria and growing pressures on the American administration in Iraq are behind this "unjust campaign," as Jordanian Shihan paper said.
The daily called for standing by Syria because she is the last defense line of the Arab nation.
Another Jordanian paper al-Liwa called to rally around Syria and to defend her because she is the heart of the Arab states and these efforts are aimed to subjugate her.
Qatari paper al-Sharq, denounced US pressures on Syria noting that this rejected development would put more question marks over the US intentions in the region, and would increase confidence crisis between the United States and the region's peoples.
The newspaper called the US administration to deal in a wiser way with the file of Syria and to move towards the Arab and Islamic peoples via an inclination respecting these peoples, their believes and national stances.
In Lebanon, Scholar Hussein Fadllala said the United States is playing with the Lebanese card to press Syria as to make her step back from her national and pan-Arab positions.
At Friday prayers, Fadllala, said the US policy in the region is aimed at disarming resistance and surrounding Palestinian camps as well as disarm them to serve Israel.
In Sanaa of Yemen, The Nasserite Popular Unionist Party called Arab governments and the Arab public opinion as well effective political forces in the nation to stand by Syria and Lebanon as "to face the campaign of accusations and US pressures."
In Canberra of Australia, Editor-in Chief of the New Dawn magazine, David Johns, announced full solidarity with Syria against the Western, Zionist, Imperialist attack that is crystallizing in form of a media campaign aimed at Syria.
"We denounce the use of the United Nations as means to spread baseless allegations and fabricated lies aimed to press Syria," he said in a message sent to the Syrian embassy in Australia. Johns voiced confidence in the Syrian people and his capability to confront foreign pressures.
In Tehran, Member of the Iranian Expedition Council Ali Akbar Nouri said the Mehlis report is a political report against Syria. "It is not judiciary nor a legal report that aims at nothing but creating a crisis between Syria and Lebanon."
He noted the Israeli scenario is aimed at achieving dangerous political goals against the region's countries. He also "urged the Islamic world not to be deceived by Israel and not to recognize her in addition to work to fulfill solidarity and unity as to face the Israeli expansionist aims."
