Hoss warns against foreign intervention
Lebanon-Palestine-UN, Politics, 10/29/2005

Former Lebanese Premier, Salim al-Hoss, has warned against the dangers of foreign intervention in the internal affairs of Lebanon and of using the UN Security Council 1559 for pressuring Lebanon to cause division in the country.

In a statement to reporters today, Hoss called for quick action to solve this situation, stressing that the most efficient weapon to face this stage is Lebanese national unity.

He said that the United Nations Secretary General Personal Envoy to the Middle East, Terjie Rod Larsen, has made of the Palestinians a problem in Lebanon and ignored their "right of return" to their homeland in line with UN Security Council Resolution 194.
