Riyadh wins support for joining WTO
Saudi Arabia-Regional, Economics, 10/29/2005
Saudi officials said on Friday that their country got the consent of five main countries to join the World Trade Organization before the end of this year.
This step came in a meeting for a WTO special committee for the majority of the major trade countries which were monitoring the negotiations over Saudi attempts to join the WTO over 12 years. The final consent which is considered by many as symbolic, is expected to be issued in a decision for the WTO general council on November 11.
