Syria keen to collaborate with UN investigation into Hariri assassination

In Damascus, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad notified his Egyptian peer President Hosni Mubarak who arrived unannounced in Damascus on Friday his country's readiness to cooperate with the UN investigation committee in charge of investigating the assassination of Rafiq Hariri.
The Syrian Official news agency SANA said that during his meeting with Mubarak, al-Assad renewed "Syria's care and readiness to continue cooperation with the UN investigation committee." SANA added that talks between the two presidents dealt with developments of conditions in the region and current consultations at the UN Security Council after the release of UN investigation report of Detlev Mehlis.
