Palestinian organization in Lebanon detains Lebanese military men

Lebanese military build up around the Palestinian camps in which tanks were used came after the killing of on Lebanese land surveyor while he was carrying demarcation operation between Syria and Lebanon at the directives of the Lebanese army, and the army was told that the fire was opened at the man from a base for the Fatah the uprising organization, a matter which was denied by the group.

A Lebanese army officer said "we have all poof that the fire came from the southern side of Ein al-Helweh position which is dominated by Fatah the uprising," adding that "instructions so far are to work for arresting the persons who opened fire at members of the Lebanese army, and the other side wants to escape this matter."

In the same context the secretary general of the PFLP, Ahmad Jibril, said from his headquarters residence in Damascus on Thursday that his group holds six Lebanese military men since Wednesday evening, but a Lebanese military source denied that.

Jibril added that the Lebanese army detained three members of our organization including one cadre but no more information were give,

On the other hand, the Lebanese government held a meeting on Thursday led by Prime Minister Fouad Sinioura in which it discussed the report issued by the UN delegate Terry Rod Larsen, which was read by the UN secretary general Kofi Annan. In conclusion of its meeting, the Lebanese government rejected what it had stated in calling for dismantling the weapons of Hizbullah Party.
