Lebanese figure rejects escalation against Syria

Leader of the Lebanese al-Najada Party Mustafa al-Hakim said that the American-European escalation against Syria reflects the level of the conspiracy Syria is exposed to under the cover of the report of the international investigation committee into the killing of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Hakim added that foreign powers exploit the report as a medium to put pressures on Syria, warning against the American and Israeli campaign against Syria and Lebanon. He expressed the hope that the UN will act according to its principals as an umbrella for justice and right.
