Talibani: Iraq will not be used to strike Syria

The Iraqi President Jalal al-Talibani said in an interview with the Egyptian TV on Monday that he is "a friend of Syria: and "Iraq will not be used (as a base) if a military strike is directed to it."
Talibani added that the national reconciliation initiative discussed by the Arab League secretary general Amr Mousa during his visit in Iraq does not include "the armed and terrorist groups."
