Continued acts of killing, kidnapping in Iraq

At least 37 Iraqis were killed on Monday in various attacks, the most violent of which was the killing of 12 construction workers in al-Maseib south of Baghdad, while the Iraqi army found 6 bodies in various areas in Baghdad.

At a time when Ukraine's defense minister announced that 800 remaining soldiers Iraq will be pulled out by the end of December, the new Polish president Lekh Kazinski said he will try to extend the presence of his country's forces estimated at 1700 soldiers which were presumed to be pulled out by the beginning of 2006.

On the other hand, Morocco announced that two of the employees of its embassy in Baghdad were missing during a trip from Amman to Baghdad.

A statement by the Moroccan foreign ministry said that driver Abdul Rahim Buullam abd Abdul Karim al-Mahafizi traveled last week to Jordan in a car for the embassy in order to get their salaries in the Moroccan consulate there and they had left it back to Iraq in the same car before contacts was lost with them on Thursday.

The road between Jordan and Baghdad is considered dangerous where okidnappings are many either by members of armed groups or theft gangs.

However, al-Qaida organization in Iraq announced in July the execution of two Algerian diplomats. Earlier the Egyptian charge de affairs in Iraq Eyab al-Sharif was also executed in Iraq.
