Iran sends aid to Iraq

Relief aid sent by Iran's Red Crescent Society to help the crisis-hit people in Tal Afar, northern Iraq, arrived in Baghdad on Thursday, IRNA reported. The aid consignment provided by Iran includes over 70 tons of foodstuff, tents, medicines and other relief items, the Iranian embassy in Baghdad announced.
ItRNA said that "The town of Tal Afar has been the scene of wars and fightings in recent days and a suicide bomber blew himself up last Wednesday in a crowded market in this town in northern Iraq."
