Syria-Tunisia, Politics, 10/18/2005

Tunisian newspaper of 'al-Chourouk' ( dawn time) on Monday has stressed the necessity of an unanimous Arab stand by Syria in the light of the US escalating threats and pressures against it.

In its editorial, the paper indicated that the US pressures on Damascus have been done by Israel's instigation to achieve its strategy in the region.

"Tel Aviv convinced the American administration that the so-called 'The Greater Middle East Project' which attains the American strategy in the region don't tolerate presence of a state like Syria that is committed to its national stances, the right and land as well calls for implementation of the UN international legitimacy resolutions," the paper added.

The paper pointed out to the importance of a complete Arab agreement in order not to leave Syria standing alone.
