Lebanese clergyman criticizes US accusations against Syria
Lebanon-Syria-USA, Politics, 10/18/2005

A prominent Lebanese clergyman on Monday strongly criticized the U.S. accusations against Syria, stressing that Washington wants to use Lebanon as a card to serve its own purposes. Sheikh Fadlullah pointed out that the American accusations and pressures on Syria seeks to change Arab stances towards Israeli occupation of the Arab territories.

Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Fadlullah said in a Ramadan forum that these accusations are part of the American strategic aims in the region. He called on the Arabs to face the existing challenges and beware of the dangers of the present phase and its repercussions on the Arab security.
