Israel's role should not be dismissed in Hariri assassination: Hakim

Chairman of Lebanese Najada Party, Mostafa Hakim, on Monday called on the chief of UN investigation team into the assassination of Lebanese former Premier Rafiq Hariri not to dismiss the Israeli role in this crime.
"Israel has numerous interest in the assassination act, on top of which is hitting and harming the Syrian-Lebanese relations, as well as imposing siege on Syria because she is the last fortified citadel in the face of the Israeli project in the region," Hakim said in a statement. He added that the Lebanese judiciary is the only side which has the decisive word in this issue if political pressures will not increase on Mehils to oblige him to direct inappropriate accusations.
