Mubarak receives Wolfensohn

President Mubarak received on Sunday the International Quartet envoy James Wolfensohn. The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian lands especially following Israeli withdrawal from Gaza Strip and northern West Bank areas along with means and ways to boost the Palestinian economy during this critical stage.
Issues of crossings and the secure passage between the strip and the West Bank were also probed. Wolfensohn said President Mubarak briefed him on the progress of the underway negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis describing Egypt as a strong partner in achieving peace.
